During the day your system is producing energy and powers your home. Any excess energy that wasn’t used during the day is sent to the grid and you receive credits in exchange.

At night or during cloudy days when your system isn’t producing enough energy, you will pull electricity from the grid. Luckily for you, the credits you have stored will cover those charges bringing your bill back to zero.
